Bonny Kendel Macnab was born on the prairies and at the age of eight moved to the west coast. Going to school her love for art was apparent; she graduated with honors in art before moving back to Saskatchewan. In her work, you will see her great love for country life, people and her surroundings.
After exploring all mediums she has found her love in watercolor and strives to capture color, emption and spirit in her subject. She is constantly developing an expressive use for color. Macnab has her own unique way of viewing and portraying the world. Thru her desire to learn she has developed an understanding of color and an intuitive ability to make a statement.
She has won recognition and peoples choice awards and toured 24 towns through O.S.A.C. in 1996-97. Most recently she has won the excellence in watercolor in the Canadian Institute of Portrait Artist National Open Exhibition 2006. One of her portraits was also juried into the Society of Canadian Artists show in 2006. Her work is becoming recognized internationally.
She is available to do commission work, corporate work and portraits. Bonny teaches drawing and watercolor classes. She also has a series of western art in pencil and card packages for group fundraising. Bonny has a gallery and studio in the log home her family built, where you can see framed originals and limited edition prints.
Visitors are always welcome to Maple Ridge Ranch.
